Management team

Jerker had a vision of what the Handheld Group could become, and he's still helping achieve it. He is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in handheld technology. Prior to founding Handheld, Jerker worked for Husky Computers, managing their Scandinavian markets, and was also a Product Manager with Dataloggers AB. Jerker´s educational background is in engineering and computer science.

Mike brings deep expertise to the Handheld Group, based on his broad experience with global organizations in both marketing and business development. Most recently Mike was Vice President of Marketing for Merix Corporation, a worldwide leader in manufacturing printed circuit boards. Mike also has direct industry experience from his previous role as Director of Sales & Marketing at Tripod Data Systems. Mike has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree from Penn State.

Christer has achieved a level of mastery in the world of finance and accounting, working extensively with multinational enterprises before joining Handheld in 2011. In his position as CFO, he has overseen the financial aspects of the Handheld Group's worldwide growth. Before coming to Handheld, Christer was in charge of the financial department at Rettig Sweden AB. He also has experience in financial auditing, and has a degree in business and economics.

Chris joined Handheld in 2012, contributing his extensive 15-year background in mobile computing and rugged device product development. He began his engineering career developing firmware for Hewlett Packard's notebook PC products. Since then he has cultivated an industry focus, holding several technical and management positions leading the development of wirelessly connected computing products. Most recently Chris was the PMO Manager for Trimble's line of rugged data collection devices. Chris has a degree in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, and is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional.

Thomas joined Handheld as a co-owner in 2003 after holding key management and marketing positions in several international companies. He has overseen the Handheld Group's growth throughout Europe, putting to use his broad experience in international business. Thomas has a bachelor's degree in business, as well as an MBA from Northern Arizona University.

Juhani, the Managing Director of HHCS Handheld Finland, has a long history of successful work in the rugged computer industry in Finland, spending 17 years as a Product Manager and Sales Director. His educational background is in computer science/programming and business.

Dale, a computing technology veteran, is the CEO of HHCS Handheld USA. His last position prior to joining Handheld was as Marketing Product Manager for Tripod Data Systems, working on the entire line of TDS rugged handhelds, which gave him expert knowledge in the market and applications for rugged handhelds. Prior to TDS, Dale worked for 15 years in the field of GPS technology, at firms including Glenayre Electronics, Thales Navigation, Magellan and Ashtech.

Leonardo gained a thorough knowledge of the rugged solutions market before joining the Handheld Group as the Managing Director of Handheld Italia. He worked for more than 20 years in test and measurement solutions in the telecommunications and safety market before bringing his experience to his previous company, Tecnoservizi. Leonardo's educational background is in general science and physics.

Peter is the Managing Director of Handheld Benelux, the culmination of a career focused on a great passion for the mobile industry. Prior to coming to Handheld, Peter co-founded eMpoly, a Dutch company specializing in rugged hardware and mobile software for field services. Peter started his career with Carema Hardware, where he was Sales Manager of rugged handhelds. Peter has a degree in technical business science.

Christian joined the Handheld family via our International Management Trainee Program, after gaining experience with numerous international IT organizations. Today Christian is the Managing Director of Handheld Europe, which represents Handheld's operations on the EMEA markets. He is also responsible for Handheld APAC, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, operating in the Asia-Pacific region. He has a bachelor's degree in business as well as a master's in international business from University of Queensland, Australia.

Andreas brought extensive experience in managing rugged computing projects in Switzerland and internationally to his the position as Managing Director of Handheld Swiss. Prior to joining Handheld, he spent 24 years in the industry as a Managing Director and Sales Director at Latschbacher. Andreas has a master's degree in forestry.

Helmut, the Managing Director of Handheld Germany in Freilassing, has several decades of specific experience in the rugged mobile computer industry. Prior to joining Handheld, he worked for 21 years for Latschbacher, a supplier for rugged mobile computers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Helmut was Managing Director of Latschbacher Germany, as well as Managing Director of Abies ITS, a subsidiary of Latschbacher. Helmut's educational background is in electronics and electrical engineering.

Dave Cawsey brings a background in engineering design and development to his position as Managing Director of Handheld UK & Ireland. Prior to joining Handheld, Dave built up more than 20 years of operational and sales experience in rugged mobility solutions, holding senior international management positions for IBM UK, Husky Computers, General Dynamics Itronix UK and Touchstar Pacific.

Torkel has worked with sales and key accounts in Handheld Scandinavia since 2005, including the position as the company's Sales Manager. In his role as Managing Director of Handheld Scandinavia Torkel is responsible for operations in the Scandinavian region, an important home region where Handheld has a very strong footprint and large market share.
